Esparza’s tacos and coffee isn’t your typical combination.. We all know about pizza and beer. Coffee and donuts. Burgers and fries. Tacos and Margaritas. These are only a few of the typical combos you’ll find in restaurants. But, I bet once you’ve visited Esparza’s, that Tacos and coffee will be your new favorite combination.
If you’ve driven down 58 between Camp Foster and Camp Lester, chances are you’ve seen the “tacos and coffee” sign, a combination that is sure to draw in the curious traveler.
Esparza’s Eclectic Atmosphere
Esparza’s will draw you in with an eclectic atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options. Featuring local artists, the walls are covered in artwork of all kinds. There is a corner with more products from local businesses, as well as information about local events and artists. You can purchase any of the artwork on display to benefit that local artist. Esparza’s also features a different local artist each month, with social media shout outs and front and center displays in-store.
In the back corner, you’ll find a small stage with speakers and mics set up. On the last Saturday of the month from 7pm-9pm, you’ll find anyone brave enough to step up on stage, showing up for monthly Open Mic Night.
Esparza’s Food and Drink
As for the food, Esparza’s features tacos, of course, along with bowls, and your favorite Mexican sides like chips with guacamole or queso. We can’t forget about their delicious FREE salsa and soup bar. At the free salsa and soup bar, you have your pick of several types of salsa and a Mexican soup that you can pour into a mug to enjoy.
Are you a vegan/vegetarian? You’re in luck! Esparza’s uses a non-dairy cheese in all their dishes and offers multiple options for non-meat dishes. Along with beef and chicken options, tacos are available in a tofu chorizo, grilled seasonal veggies or jackfruit. You also have the option of flour or corn tortillas, catering to the gluten free crowd as well. Bowls come in tofu chorizo and beyond beef crumbles, as well as your omnivore favorites of chicken or steak.
With a variety of drinks to quench your thirst, the homemade ginger ale is a fan favorite. Like their name suggests, they offer basic coffee options as well as multiple variations of a latte. Mocha, vanilla, caramel, plain or the fancy dirty chai, you’re sure to find a variation to suit your palette. If caffeine isn’t what you’re looking for at 5pm, you can choose from several kinds of Mexican beers available and of course you’ll also find Orion and Super Dry.
While it’s great to eat in, sometimes you just want a night where you don’t have to cook but are able to eat at home in your comfy clothes. Esparzas accepts call-in orders that you can pick up on your way home from work. You can also purchase their homemade tortillas to take home with you.
Whether you meet up with a friend for a lunchtime latte and taco or an evening drink paired with chips and their salsa bar, Esparza’s is an underrated establishment that you’re sure to love.
